Introducing the UNESCO Sciences and Technology Club<\/strong><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

UNESCO Club for Basic Sciences and Technology is a civic\u2013specialised institution operating under the supervision of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. It was established to enhance public awareness of the pivotal role of basic sciences in driving new technologies and to promote a culture of knowledge-based approaches in business sectors. Its core mission is to encourage the transformation of basic sciences into a catalyst for sustainable development through three main pillars:<\/p>

  1. Public education and scientific literacy, highlighting the role of basic sciences in social progress.<\/li>
  2. Fostering innovative research that translates into practical solutions for national challenges through basic sciences.<\/li>
  3. Expanding community engagement and public participation in science-related initiatives.<\/li><\/ol>

    Aligned with UNESCO\u2019s global objectives and the strategic documents of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, the Club pursues its promotional activities around four overarching goals: Institutionalising basic sciences as the foundation of industrial and social development by organising, supporting, or participating in promotional events (meetings, start-up festivals, exhibitions, interviews, etc.). Empowering target groups, particularly women researchers and young talents, to implement or develop technologies rooted in basic sciences, and encouraging research teams to evolve into knowledge-based enterprises. Strengthening the bridge between science and society by raising awareness of transforming scientific theories into practical products and services. Enhancing national resilience by steering basic science research toward addressing critical national challenges, while adhering to the principles of sustainable development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
