Special attention to the concepts of “sustainable development” was placed on the agenda of the Festival of Young Thinkers and Scientists

In a meeting held with the presence of Dr. Barati, Head of the Department of Agricultural Management and Development at the University of Tehran, solutions were proposed regarding the various dimensions of sustainable development.
In this regard, Dr. Barati noted: Sustainable development has 3 dimensions: economic, social and environmental, and these 3 important aspects must be considered in line with each other in order to take the right steps on the path of sustainable development.
He also noted: “Systems thinking” plays a major role in the concepts of sustainable development.
In this regard, Dr. Moaddab, Executive Director of the festival, made some points regarding the establishment of the UNESCO Basic Science and Technology Club, whose main goal is to focus on sustainable development goals.
He continued by expressing his request to hold joint events with the aim of raising challenges in the field of sustainable development together with Dr. Barati’s team and with the presence of universities, industry and government at the national and international levels.
In the end, it was decided; Concepts such as “global warming” and “soil crisis” should be studied for joint events and final decisions should be made on this matter.
