Consultation meeting with a writer from Tajikistan

In May 2023, the Young Scholars and Scholars Festival hosted Dr. Shah Mansur Khajehov, a Tajik writer and cultural expert at the ECO Institute, in order to use the experiences and guidelines of the festival to internationalize it.

Dr. Shah Mansur has been working as an expert on Tajikistan’s cultural affairs at the ECO Institute since November 2006.

First, Dr. Soroush Modab, the festival’s executive director, provided explanations about the international activities carried out in the sixth edition of the festival and the judging of several transnational ideas.

Dr. Shadi Jamili, the head of the festival’s permanent secretariat, also explained the festival’s long-term plans to expand its international activities.

Dr. Shah Mansour proposed a specialized meeting with cultural advisors from ECO member countries and Persian-speaking countries, scientific cooperation with universities in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India and China, a well-written plan for superior Iranology, and participation in scientific and cultural events such as book fairs in order to advance the international scope of the festival, and they expressed their readiness to cooperate in line with the international activities of the festival.

In the end, it was decided to hold a consultation meeting between the festival’s organs and the ambassador of Tajikistan, in coordination with Dr. Shah Mansour, in order to expand the activities of this scientific event in that country.
