A Night with the Stars, a series of events for World Astronomy Week

According to the Secretariat of the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival, from April 26 to 30, 2023, in conjunction with the World Astronomy Week, a night with stars event was held in Tehran’s Mellat Park, Milad Tower, Mina Dome, the campus of Sharif University of Technology, and the main entrance to the Persian Gulf Martyrs’ Lake (Chitgar).

Sky observation with a 10- and 14-inch Newtonian telescope, holding a booth on the role of science in everyday life and scientific experiments in the four departments of astronomy, geology, physics, and biology, and observing the noon sun at Sharif University of Technology with an H-alpha telescope were among the programs implemented in this event.

Scientific experiments in physics and astronomy include the Tesla coil, a sphere simulating the structure of the galaxy and the universe, the planet Jupiter, observing field lines under a loupe microscope, observing the structure of the telescope and the magnetometer simulator of planets, a Bernoulli blower, a conductivity meter, magnetism experiments, and numerous models related to astronomy.
