Drawing a roadmap for the seventh edition of the festival
In May 2023, the heads of the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival, in a meeting with the Honorable Minister of Science, Research and Technology, benefited from his suggestions for holding this scientific event in the best possible way and expanding its international activities for the seventh edition.
The Secretary of the Management and Planning Committee and the Executive Director of the Festival, while presenting a statistical report on the activities and awards of the sixth edition of this event, which was held with the aim of promoting an entrepreneurial spirit, invited the Honorable Minister of Science to convene the first meeting of the Policy Council of this edition with his presence, as in previous periods.
Dr. Akhlaqi – CEO of Dr. Maiko Software, while explaining the functioning of this program to the Honorable Minister of Science, considered the establishment of an “electronic health file” for students to be one of the achievements of this project.
He noted: The above file works completely in two ways; This means that it can be used by both students and doctors, and through it, intelligent measurements can be made on a large scale and necessary prevention measures can be taken against some pandemics such as cancer.
Dr. Kamarai, pointing out that the festival’s internationalization license was issued by the University of Tehran, said: The festival needs the support of the Ministry of Science for further coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in order to increase communication in the international field.
Engineer Jamili, while thanking the festival’s managers for their unparalleled efforts, raised some issues for discussion with the high-ranking official of the ministry and the members present at the meeting, and after discussion and exchange of views, the following decisions were made:
– Expanding cooperation between the festival and the National Foundation of Elites
– Annual presence of the festival in the research calendar of the Ministry of Science
– Strengthening the relationship between industry and universities
– Introducing the festival in one of the meetings of the deans of faculties across the country and…
The chairman of the festival’s policy-making council also raised some points regarding the Internet television of the University of Tehran and the “Science and Technology Peaks” program.
Dr. Zelfigol, pointing out that holding a festival and introducing outstanding individuals can also be effective in setting a model and encouraging basic science activists in the country, said: It is appropriate that a number of deans of basic science faculties in the country, who are responsible for significant and important activities in promoting this field in the country, be recognized and introduced to the scientific community of the country through this festival.
He emphasized: Creating a trend in basic sciences and introducing important capacities in this field in the country should be pursued. In this regard, in addition to introducing and honoring all the winners, it is necessary to invite all participants of this competition to the closing ceremony or to establish contact with them in a separate conference.
The Minister of Science noted: In order to increase the quality level of the festival and increase the accuracy of the judging, the capacity of the country’s scientific associations that are active in the field of basic sciences should be used.
