According to the Public Relations Department of the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival, the “Night with the Stars” event was held on the occasion of World Astronomy Week, with the aim of promoting science and with the efforts of the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival, in Tehran, with the presence of experts and tools related to promoting science, from May 13 to 17, 2023.
Night with the Stars is a series of activities related to promoting astronomy in a public and free manner, during which citizens become familiar with the attractions of astronomy by attending the booth and observing related scientific experiments, scientific models and tools.
Also, in this event, the promotion of basic sciences and interdisciplinary topics were also on the agenda, and knowledge and information in this field were transferred to the general public in the form of tools and experiments.
In this program, the public was also able to observe the sky with a telescope, and they observed the moon and other celestial bodies.
The holding of this event attracted the attention of citizens, and more than 2,500 people attended during the 5 days of the event in Tehran. visited the booth.
A Night with the Stars was held on May 13 and 14, 2023, at the Milad Tower complex in Tehran, May 15 at Mellat Park, May 16 at the Azadi Tower complex, and May 18 on World Astronomy Day, along with other astronomical groups, in the Mina Dome.
A Night with the Stars was held with the support of the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival and in cooperation with the UNESCO Basic Sciences and Technology Club, the Tehran University Supporters Foundation, the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex, the Social and Cultural Departments of Milad Tower Tehran and the Municipality of District 3 of Tehran, the Iranian Amateur Astronomy Association, and a group of experts in the field of science and astronomy promotion.
This program is held every year and simultaneously with the World Astronomy Week, and various groups across the country perform various programs during this week, and the Young Scholars and Scientists Festival performed the program this week for the second consecutive year.
