Field of Activity
Public Scientific Empowerment to enhancepublic knowledge and awareness, advance education and science, and promoting authentic Iranian and Islamic values—based on the cultural objectives of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran and within the framework of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO while fully complying with national regulations and the principles governing UNESCO Clubs, the UNESCO Club for Basic Sciences and Technology was established.
Scope of Activities
The main areas of activity of the “Basic Sciences and Technology Club” are carried out through cultural and educational programs, including:
- Raising public awareness of scientific productivity methods.
- Encouraging innovation by participating in idea-generation festivals and start-up events.
- Promoting public understanding of basic sciences by introducing young scientific talents in websites and events like festivals.
- Organizing meetings, conferences, webinars, lectures, visits, award ceremonies, and other events to strengthen the appreciation of basic sciences in society.
- Establishing support groups to assist during natural disasters.
- Participating in developmental activities that create infrastructure for applying basic sciences in the country when needed.
- Supporting young innovators in transforming basic science theories into practical applications or services for society.
- Collaborating in the organization of scientific and cultural festivals.
- Hosting events to promote the culture of endowment and charity as a means to advance science in society.
- Recognizing and honoring distinguished scholars, experts, and patrons of basic sciences.
- Supporting outstanding talents in fields such as information technology, artificial intelligence, and knowledge-based enterprises.
- Delivering training programs in cooperation with universities, associations, and research centers to help transform basic science ideas into real-world applications.
