“A Night with the Stars” event was organized by the Young Scientists Festival, in collaboration with the UNESCO Basic Sciences and Technology Club, Tehran University Supporters Foundation, Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex, Social and Cultural Deputy of Milad Tower Tehran, District 3 Municipality of Tehran, Iranian Amateur Astronomy Association, and a group of experts in science promotion and astronomy.
Held in Tehran from May 14 to May 18 in celebration of World Astronomy Week, this event aimed to promote science through various activities and featured experts and tools related to science dissemination.
A Night with the Stars” is a series of public and free activities related to astronomy promotion, where citizens engage with the wonders of astronomy by visiting booths, observing related scientific experiments, and exploring scientific models and tools.
The program included opportunities for the public to observe the sky through telescopes, allowing them to view the moon and other celestial bodies. The event garnered significant attention from citizens, with over 2500 visitors attending the booths across Tehran during the five-day period.
During the event, the promotion of basic sciences and interdisciplinary topics was also a focus, with knowledge and information in these fields shared with the public through tools and experiments.
This program is held annually during World Astronomy Week, with various groups across the country conducting different activities. The Festival of Young Intellectuals and Scientists participated in this week for the second consecutive year.
